Kids

Every Week Counts!
Sunday Mornings at 9 and 10:30am

We truly believe that each and every time your kids enter our doors, we have the honor and opportunity to show them what a relationship with Jesus looks like. From physical safety, to cultivating relationships, to yummy snack time, we believe that every moment we have with your kids is a special one.

  • Our preschool ministry takes place each Sunday morning during the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services. Each volunteer goes through an interview, back ground check and training before volunteering in the Kid’s area. We want every preschooler to learn that

    1. God Made Me.

    2. God Loves Me.

    3. Jesus Wants to Be My friend Forever.

We use Orange Curriculum that has age specific actives and crafts for each age group to help children understand who God is at their developmental level. We aspire for all infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to experience the love of Christ and church community in their earliest years.

  • Our Elementary ministry takes place each Sunday morning during the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services. Small Groups take place during the first service and Large Group takes place during the second service, providing 2 different unique learning environments. Each volunteer goes through an interview, back ground check and training before volunteering in the Kid’s area.

We want every Elementary student to learn in their time in this ministry that:

    1. I need to make wise choices.

    2. I can trust God no matter what.

    3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

We use Orange Curriculum that has age specific actives and crafts for each age group to help children understand who God is at their developmental level. We aspire for our elementary students to begin building community amongst each other as they begin to brave the world more and more independently.

Alexxa Haggerty is our Children’s Minister. If you have any questions about our Children’s Ministry, please contact her here.

GRACE CITY

Students

Sunday Mornings at 10:30am

Grace City Students strives to intentionally reach, impact, and disciple every young heart by building life-giving relationships that develop leaders to impact their world for Christ.

  • As a student ministry we have applicable Bible-driven teachings every week where we reach into their world and define a modern day walk with Christ. We accomplish this by developing and equipping dedicated small group leaders to come alongside our students weekly in small group discussions. These small groups are age and gender oriented for students between 6th and 12th grade.

  • We follow the example set by Jesus of learning in circles, not rows. This creates a more relationally-oriented group where students feel free to share what’s going on in their world. Students and small group leaders also challenge one another to carry their faith into their daily lives.

  • We believe that the most important part of pouring into our students is how they act out the spiritual disciplines we have instilled in them. We do this by giving them opportunities in the North Fondren neighborhood where we are strategically planted as a church.

Young Adults

Out of college? In grad school? Settling into your new life in the working world?  This is the place for you.

Young Adults is a weekly gathering of young professionals/post-college students. Young Adults is hosted at the home of our leaders Peyton and Hayley Brown and meets every Tuesday night at 6:30. Dinner is provided and after dinner, this group spends about an hour together, studying the bible and spending time in small groups praying for and with one another.

GRACE CITY

Groups

God did not design us to live life on our own.

At Grace City, we have Community Groups to help you grow deeper in the life that God wants you to live. A Community Group is a place where you can know others, spend time learning the Bible, and grow in your relationship with God. When we talk about Community Groups, we think of them like this: a collection of intentionally gospel-centered relationships that produce disciple-making disciples.

GRACE CITY

Missions

We believe God has a plan for locating our church in the heart of Fondren North. Our neighborhood is our first mission field, and we are committed to working with community leaders and the staff and families of Boyd Elementary School and Chastain Middle School to reach, serve and build relationships that God can use to accomplish His purposes for each of us. In addition to serving in these two schools, we offer community events throughout the year and have dreams to expand these efforts across the entire Jackson metro area.

GRACE CITY

Prayer

The Bible tells us to come to the Lord and “with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in the time of need.”  We are to be a people of prayer and Grace City is striving to be a church of unceasing prayer and communion with the Lord.

God has given us the great privilege of praying to Him. We, as a staff, would like to know how we can pray for you. If you want to submit a prayer request, click the button below and fill out the simple form.

Women

Throughout the year, our women’s ministry has many fun ways  for women to connect through different activities, such as cookie exchanges and other social gatherings. Another great way to meet people is by joining one of our women’s community groups that meet weekly. See our event calendar and community group options below.
